About a year or so ago we developed a flowchart to help highlight the importance of following the right steps to ensure your construction projects get completed on time, to scope and to budget – with minimal disruptions.  Of course, we have a vested interest in this as the proactive use of our non-destructive diagnostic testing is a great way to avoid inaccuracies and costly re-design.

Given our recent experiences, we thought it would be timely to send out a reminder about this flowchart and how a review of it may help.  Lately, we have found ourselves being engaged for “hit prevention” by construction companies and structural steel installers, often once the steel has been fabricated.

More often than not we find that the original design and makeup doesn’t suit the actual application at hand with steel clashing at drilling and install. This is usually because the steel and upgrade have been based on “as built” plans with limited or no investigations undertaken. Getting us in before fabrication will save time and the project expenses.

Have a read through the CSI Construction Project Flowchart and the importance of diagnostic testing and what can be achieved depending on the stage of the project.
