Introducing the newest member to join us, we are thrilled to welcome Ronald to the CSI team. It has been a ‘baptism of fire’ for him as he works alongside Daniel and Michael to keep the Auckland projects ticking along beautifully.
Daniel is doing a marvelous job of training Ronald in all aspects of the job including project methodology, pricing, field testing, reporting, research and development and client liaison!!!
Ronald has a Doctorate from the University of Auckland where his thesis topic was ‘realistically simulating structural responses to earthquakes on a large scale’.
In his doctorate, Ronald adopted a particular earthquake simulation method where a complete structure is divided into a physically built structure and a computer model. Then the task is to simulate the seismic response of both parts simultaneously and interactively; similar to controlling a robot in the mechatronic engineering discipline. Ronald came up with ways to improve the accuracy of this method which has been widely adopted previously in Japan and the US. Ronald headed into his Doctorate after completing his Master of Engineering studies; also at the University of Auckland.
We have been very impressed with his ability to learn, work ethic, cooperation, collaboration, enthusiasm and the expertise/knowledge he contributes to CSI Ltd.
Ronald will be our Auckland Leader from June this year and can be contacted on ronald@csiscan.nz and 0272 305 845
We are sure he will be a big asset for our team at CSI and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with him in his first two weeks.
